IRB-X60 Overview:

The IRB-X60 retroreflective infrared photoeye is designed for use with industrial control systems, including applications such as process automation, process triggering, inventory management, and counting.

The IRB-X60 includes dry NO/NC relay contacts, making it compatible with most control systems. It can operate up to 60 feet and supports a wide range of voltages (6-40 VDC and 12-24 VAC). Additionally, it features a red alignment indicator to assist in easy set-up and provide feedback on the alignment process.

Easy Setup and Alignment:

Setting up and aligning the IRB-X60 is simple and efficient, thanks to its user-friendly design. The sensor’s sensitivity can be adjusted easily using the potentiometer, with clear markings for different distance ranges. Whether the reflector is placed 5, 20, or 60 feet away, you can quickly adjust the dial to the appropriate setting.

The IRB-X60 also features detachable screw terminals for easier wiring. Simply remove the terminals while connecting the wires, then plug them back in properly and secure them, ensuring a reliable connection.

After powering the photo eye, aim it at the reflector and adjust the reflector’s position to find the center of the detection pattern. The Red LED on the photo eye provides immediate visual feedback during alignment. A solid Red LED confirms the best alignment, while flashing indicates a need for further adjustment. Even if the initial alignment isn’t perfect, the slow and fast flashing LEDs help guide you to achieve precise alignment for optimal performance.
